The Metagenomics in Action workshop will convene NCOH partners and other academics with an interest in metagenomics as a strategy for the early detection of respiratory viruses and other pathogens.
Organized as part of the NCOH Pandemic Preparedness project, the workshop focuses on developing innovative experimental and analytical metagenomics approaches to enhance pandemic preparedness. Special emphasis will be placed on exploring the dynamic interactions at the human-animal-ecosystem interface, what can and cannot be concluded, and how metagenomic findings can be confirmed with experimental data. The workshop includes a critical appraisal of the field as input for a roadmap to implementation.
