One Health PACT June retreat 

On Friday June 21 we had an inspiring and highly interactive gathering of our PhD students and Principal Investigators at Universiteit Utrecht for a day dedicated to synthesizing knowledge from our past four years of One Health scientific research.

Our focus was on integrating insights from various areas of expertise, exploring the drivers of emergence, ecosystem- focused monitoring, and the infection, impact and response in different hosts.

The afternoon was particularly stimulating with a scenario workshop by Arjan Stroo from CMV at the Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (NVWA) on potential outbreaks and developing the best response strategies and a second scenario workshop given by Reina Sikkema from Erasmus MC about the Fundamental Change in Virus Presence.
